today I would like to show you how I made the no bake cakes using my creme fraiche leftovers and dates, pecans and pomegranates. They were very tasty and the only thing that I really prepared was the frosting. The special ingredient here was the orange blossom water, which gave the cake a very fresh aroma. Check out a pic of the deliciousness here:
So how did I make them?
First of all, I did not make the flan case, I just bought it ready made (Yes, I know, shame on me :-))
For the recipe for 1 whole cake you need:
1 flan case
100 grams of pomegranate
100 grams of pecan nuts
250 grams of creme fraiche
1 teaspoon of orange blossom water
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
1 tablespoon of agave syrup
1 table spoon of caramel sauce
Since you do not have to bake the case, you can already place it on a big flat plate. Take out the creme fraiche and fill it in a bowl. Stir it a little bit, until it gets creamy and then add the orange blossom water, the agave syrup and half of the table spoon of cinnamon. Mix it through until all of the ingredients have mixed evenly. Now, let it rest in the fridge for about 10 minutes to cool down and get a stronger texture.
Cut the dates into half and wash the pomegranates. Once the creme fraiche mix is cooled down, spread it evenly on the flan case. Spread the date halfes, the pecan nuts and the pomegranates on the cake and sprinkle the last half of cinnamon on the cake. Finally drip a little bit of caramel sauce on the cake and it is already ready !
Enjoy and CARPE DELI 🙂
