Hey my Dears,
I went through my Instagram pictures and saw the picture of the butternut squash –white chocolate tarts, which I posted recently. This directly made me crave them and I felt like sharing the deliciousness with you. Check out the tarts below:
(For the crust)
– 2 cups of flour
– 5 tea spoons of honey
– 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– Half a cup of olive oil
– ¼ teaspoon of baking soda
– A tiny bit of salt
(For the puree and the glazing)
– One half of a butternut squash
– 3 table spoons of honey
– 1 table spoon of cinnamon
– 1 table spoon of butter
– ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg
– ½ cup of white chocolate
Take the half of the butternut squash and bake it in the oven for about 30 minutes. After 30 minutes of baking, let it cool down for about 10 minutes.
Next, fill the flour, the baking soda and the salt in a bowl and mix them. Add the honey, the vanilla extract and the olive oil in a second bowl and mix them thoroughly. Once this is done, mix the dry and the wet ingredients together until the soft crust dough develops.
Grease the tart baking forms with oil and spread the dough in the forms. Then, bake them in the oven for about 15 minutes. After 15 minutes of baking, take the tarts out of the oven and let them cool down for a while.
While the tarts are baking in the oven, heat up the butter in a small cooking pot. Scrape out the butternut squash from the roasted butternut squash half and add it to the pot once the butter is heated up. Let the butternut squash meat cook and the honey, the cinnamon and the nutmeg. Let the butternut squash meat mix up with the other ingredients by cooking it for about 15 minutes on medium setting. Afterwards, take a hand mixer and mix the butternut squash meat until it reaches puree consistency.
After the puree has cooked, fill 1-2 tablespoons of puree on the middle of each tart. Now, heat up white chocolate in a cup in the microwave for about 1 minute. Once it has melted, take a teaspoon and start spreading the white chocolate over the puree on the tarts. Once this is finished, let the tarts cool down for about 10 minutes and then they are ready!
Enjoy these delicious butternut squash-white chocolate tarts and CARPE DELI!
